How the estimate works
Landed cost is the full cost of getting goods to your door. The estimator adds four things and divides by your quantity:
- Factory price (FOB). FOB means Free On Board: the price with the goods loaded on the ship in Bangladesh. We fill in a typical price from our sources and show the range they give. Replace it with your factory's quote.
- Freight. Our itemised freight comes from one costed shipment: 300 hoodies, about 215 kg in 15 cartons, 1.4 CBM (cubic metres), to London and New York. For other quantities and products we scale it by weight. For Canada, and for air to Europe, we use a published rate per CBM or per kg. For other routes, enter your forwarder's quote.
- Samples, customs broker and customs fees. You pay these once per order, so we spread them across your quantity. Small orders carry more of them per piece.
- Import duty. The rate for Bangladeshi cotton T-shirts and hoodies in each market, charged on the FOB value. We have confirmed that base only for the US, so ask your customs broker how your market values goods. The 0% rates need proof of Bangladeshi origin from your exporter.
The result is rounded to the nearest 10 cents and shown in US dollars. For the UK we also show pounds, at £1 ≈ $1.32 (October 2026). Import VAT or GST, inspection, insurance and delivery beyond the freight quote are not in the total; the estimator lists them separately.
Every figure in the form shows where it comes from. If you have a real quote, type it in: your figure replaces ours, and the link you copy keeps it.
